Attie M. Pennington

Attie Mae Pennington was born on March 23, 1929 in Leslie County to the union of the late Tom Cat Wooton and the late Nola Vanover Wooton. She departed this walk of life on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years and 9 months of age. She was residing at Wolf Creek Road, Yeaddiss, Kentucky at the time of her passing. Attie was a member of the Solid Rock Bible Church. By occupation, Attie was factory worker and a Green House worker. She loved many and many loved her. Attie enjoyed singing, reading, working in her garden and taking care of her pets.

She was greeted in heaven by her of husband of 51 years, Pearl Pennington, her beloved parents, Nola Vanover Wooton and Tom Cat Wooton, her sisters, Carrie Cornett, Nanny Hornsby, Josephine Cowan, Betty Morgan, and Patty Wooton; one brother, Eugene Wooton.

Attie leaves behind two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony Wayne Wooton and Penny; Pearl Jr. Pennington and Patricia; one daughter, Polly Pennington Wilson; a brother, Curtis Wooton; nine grandchildren, Dean Wooton, Denise Roberts, Docky Webb, David Caudill, Ray Collins, Jay Woods, Cody Fields, Vickie Race, and Jessica Bowling; nine great-grandchildren, Noah Cornett, Leah Cornett, Christan Tremblay, Andrew Wooton, Austin Feltner; four great-great grandchildren, Trinity Webb, David Preston Caudill, Anna Rae Caudill, and Dagan Feltner; special friends, Wanda Maggard, Gary and Shirley Baker of Bakers Fork, Benny and Louise Sailor of Lebanon, Ohio, Loretta Sloan of Louisville, Kentucky and Kim and Mark Hagerman of Corbin, Kentucky; also surviving is a great wealth of nieces and nephews spread all over the United States.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Chris Sale and Paul Wegner officiating. The interment will follow her services at the Pearl Pennington Cemetery at Yeaddiss, Kentucky. Family and friends may gather for visiting hours from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Tuesday evening at the funeral home chapel.
