Bob Asher

Mr. Bob Asher, of Wooton, Kentucky was born on September 13, 1959 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Rufus and Wathon Sizemore Asher. Bob was a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a coal miner and for more than 20 years he worked as a logger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Bob was an avid hunter. He especially enjoyed rabbit and coon hunting. Bob loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. Bob passed away suddenly while doing what he loved to do, coon hunting on Thursday, November 09, 2017.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Joseph and three infant brothers.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Connie Fouts Asher of Wooton, KY; three sons, Bobby Allen Asher of Speedwell, TN, Bobby Lee Asher (Ashley) of Smilax, KY and Jimmy "Bo" Asher (Kymber) of Hyden, KY; one daughter, Brenda Asher (Johnny) of Carryville, TN; four brothers, Jim Asher (Phyllis) of Slemp, KY, Freddie Asher (Margie) of Somerset, KY, Eugene Asher of Wooton, KY and Coy Asher (Serena) of Stinnett, KY; two sisters, Anita Cornett (Lloyd) of Leatherwood, KY and Rose Wells of Wooton, KY; ten cherished grandchildren, Gabe, Caleb, Mallorie, Chase, Jacob, MaKayla, Peyton, Logan, Harleigh, and Waylon; two very special friends, Odean Gross and Clayton Gross, both of Wooton, KY; a host of other family and friends survive.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Tommy Fields and Brian Overbee officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Wooton, KY. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home chapel.
