INTERMENT: Boggs Family Cemetery – Smilax, Kentucky
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. – Monday at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
Mr. Denver Boggs, of Smilax, Kentucky was born April 24, 1946 to the union of the late Charlie, Sr. & Mae Boggs. Denver was a Leslie County native. By occupation, Denver was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and small engine repair. Denver was a devoted member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at Yeaddiss, Kentucky. Denver died Friday, March 08, 2019 at his home. He was 72 years old.
In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Golda Browning Boggs, brothers, Boone Boggs, Johnny Boggs, Stanley Boggs, Lonnie Boggs, Hayse Boggs, Dennis Baker, and Harvey Baker, and two sisters, Barbara and Lois.
Denver leaves behind, his loving & devoted wife, Lorraine Coots Boggs of Smilax, KY, his beloved children, Irving Toby Wayne Boggs (Sheila) of Smilax, KY, Roger Boggs (Barbara) of Smilax, KY, Marie Terry (George) of New Tazwell, TN, Glenn Boggs of Wooton, KY, Robin Caldwell (Casey) of Wooton, KY, Denver Doyle Boggs (Megan) of Wilmore, KY, and Coty Turner of Yeaddiss, KY. Other survivors include, three brothers, Charlie Boggs, Jr. (Mae) of Yeaddiss, KY, Mannon Boggs of Kokomo, IN, and Warnie Gene Boggs of Wooton, KY. Along with fifteen cherished grandchildren, thirteen cherished great-grandchildren, and six grandchildren he raised as his own, Andrew, Shayleigh, Dalton, Hunner, Cutter, and Gracie; special friends, Joe Meadows, Don Kilburn (Rosalee) and a friend like a brother, James Boggs (Joyce).
Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
