Visitation: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the church.
Rose Marie Adams was born April 30, 1937 in Leslie County, a daughter of the late Jim and Mavis Cornett Fouts. She was a homemaker and a life-long resident of Leslie County. Marie was a devoted Christian and a charter member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, Kentucky. She had many hobbies, those of which she enjoyed included, canning, tending to her flowers, quilting, and writing. Marie was an avid historian. For more than 40 years, she had written down many events and special dates throughout the history of her church and of special life events. Marie was an accomplished quilter and seamstress. She loved to give away her quilts and throws she had made throughout the years. Marie had a green thumb. She could always grow the biggest and most beautiful flowers. Above all, Marie was a loving and devoted mother to her children. Marie departed this walk of life on Monday, July 08, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Marie was 82 years old.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Adams, one beloved son, Marcus Fouts, three brothers, Harold Dean Fouts, Willie Fouts and Johnny Fouts, two sisters, Margaret Bailey and Hazel Clark, and one infant sister, Hosa Jean Fouts.
Marie leaves behind, her five beloved children, James Logan Sizemore & wife, Lola of Viper, KY, Wade Bailey of Wooton, KY, Darrell Fouts & wife, Arlene of Hyden, KY, Rodney Fouts & wife, Deb of Wooton, KY, and Kathy Baker & husband, Haze of Wooton, KY. Other survivors include, two sisters, Erma Day of Hyden, KY and Evelyn Bowling & husband, Mike of Tyner, KY, thirteen cherished grandchildren, eighteen cherished great-grandchildren, special friends, Bobby Sizemore, Helen Joseph, and Robin Boggs. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends also survive.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
