Betty Jean Miniard

Betty Jean Miniard, of Yeaddiss, Kentucky was born February 16, 1951 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of Rose Wells Mitchell and the late Hobert Miniard. Betty had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation, Betty worked with custom picture framing. She was affiliated with the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, Kentucky. Betty was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She treasured the time spent with her family and grandchildren, especially playing cards and fishing with her grandchildren. Betty passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at her residence at the age of 66.

In addition to her father, Betty was preceded in death by her step-father, Lester Mitchell, a brother, George Mitchell and a sister, Pauline Cress.

Betty leaves behind one son, Ryan Ison & wife, Gina; one daughter, Davina Campbell & husband, Willie; her beloved mother, Rose Wells Mitchell; five brothers, David Mitchell & wife, Christine, Larry Mitchell & wife, Mavie, Jeff Mitchell, Lonis Michell & wife, Marie, and Everett Mitchell & wife, Carol; three sisters, Ann Mitchell, Dallie Maggard & husband, Carl and Kathy Shepherd; two cherished grandchildren, Abby and Hayden Ison; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 03, 2017 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Family Cemetery at Yeaddiss, KY. Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Thursday evening at the church.
