Earnestine Wooton

Earnestine Wooton of Wooton, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center at the age of 77 years, 07 months and 16 days. She was born April 01, 1938 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of the late Ernest and Ella Collins Bowling. By occupation, Earnestine was a Nurse Aid, retired from Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare. She was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of the Hyden Baptist Church. Earnestine enjoyed being involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, cooking and sewing. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and sister. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ott Wooton; brothers, Vernon, Kenneth, Dennis and Dallas; one sister, Christine Smith; son-in-law, Linsey Benton and daughter-in-law, Sandra Clark Wooton; step daughter: Sharon Sue Hoskins.

Survivors include: three sons, Billy M. Wooton (Heather), Jack Wooton and Dwayne Wooton, all of Wooton, KY; two daughters, Wanda Adams (Doug) of Wooton, KY and Jannie Benton (Steven) of Hyden, KY; two brothers, Roger Bowling (Marsha) of London, KY and Roland Bowling (Wilma) of Elk Creek, KY; one sister, Billie Sue Harris (Ernie) of London, KY; daughter-in-law: Karen; 13 cherished grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 20, 2015 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at the Wooton Family Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the funeral home chapel.
