John Henry Salyers

Mr. John Henry Salyers of Bear Branch, Kentucky was born October 07, 1942 in Leslie County, a son of the late Joe Salyers and the late Ora Osborne Salyers Woods. John was a coal miner by occupation and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. John passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age 75.

John was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Roscoe Salyers, Herbert Woods, Raymond Salyers, Margaret Smallwood, and Ann Elizabeth Jones.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Salyers, and Doug Salyers and wife, Jennifer, both of Bear Branch, Kentucky; three daughters, Kim Feltner and husband, Tony of Bear Branch, Kentucky, Chrissy Salyers and Kendra Herald and husband, William of Hazard, Kentucky; two brothers, Billy Ray Salyers and wife, Wilma of Hyden, Kentucky and Estill Lee Woods and wife, Carol Sue of Stinnett, Kentucky; four sisters, Ruth Collins and husband, Clyde of Hyden, Kentucky, Janie Collins and husband, James Harold of Dayton, Ohio, Alice Brown and husband, Carl of Oneida, Kentucky, and Francine Caldwell and husband, Boone of Stinnett, Kentucky; special friend, Linda Johnson; eight cherished grandchildren and six cherished great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
