Ruby Stewart Amos

Ruby Amos, age 66 of Hyden, Kentucky, wife of Landon Amos, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1950 in Leslie County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Woodrow and Mahala Brock Stewart. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Ruby was a retired Director of the Senior Citizens of Leslie County. Also she was affiliated with the Hyden Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, and tart making.

Ruby was married to Landon Amos on December 24, 1965 who survives and to this union were born two daughters who survive; Marsha Gail Amos of Hyden, Kentucky and Oma Carol Amos of Hyden, Kentucky, one brother, Eugene and wife, Ronnie Stewart of Hyden, Kentucky; two sisters, Corene Hale of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Polly Ann Long of Dayton, Ohio; special people in her life, Angela Morgan, Billy Ray Couch, and David Hoskins.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Cemetery, Hyden, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon Wednesday till the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Onzie Sizemore, Clayton Roberts, Wayne Collett, Stewart Napier and Bill Couch.
