Addie Feltner

Addie Feltner, 91, of Stinnett, KY passed away on February 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Addie was born on July 27, 1932, in Leslie County, KY. Addie was the oldest child of the late Robert and Dorothy Baker Bowling. Throughout her life, Addie embraced various roles, working for a nursing home in Charlestown, IN and dedicating herself as a homemaker.

Addie's most cherished moments were those spent in attending church, where she nurtured her faith. She was a beloved member of the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY where her commitment to the Lord and serving Him served as an inspiration to all who knew her.

Many of Addie's hobbies included Sewing, which allowed her creativity to be shown through her work, while hunting satisfied her sense of adventure and provided food for her family. Additionally, Addie found great pleasure in gardening but above all else, she truly enjoyed fishing.

Besides her parents, Addie was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl Feltner, her precious daughter Ada Faye Morgan, granddaughter Bridget Nantz, great-grandchild Christian Nantz, son-in-law Harold Allen, and daughter-in-law Henrietta Morgan. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

She leaves behind —two beloved children Charles Morgan and Norma J. Allen, both of Essie, KY; her devoted sister Bobbie Bowling of Harlan, KY; cherished grandchildren Brack Allen, Charletta Kilburn, Kenneth Howard, Jason Howard, and Jennifer Roberts; beloved great-grandchildren Brack Allen Jr., Cameron Howard, Kendallyn Kilburn, Sue Ellen Allen, Adell Allen, Savannah Nantz, Alex Howard, Caleb Roberts, Nathan Howard, and Carley Kilburn; and treasured great-great-grandchildren Bristol Ramsey Blake Collins and Remington Ace Allen. Additionally, Addie leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

The funeral service for Addie will be held at 2p.m. - Thursday, February 08, 2024 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Jerry Maggard, Patrick Morgan, Woody Fields, and Jerry Holland officiating.  The obituary and eulogy will be read by Christopher Bowling.

Interment will follow in the Albert Morgan Cemetery at Essie, KY with Mike Kilburn, Nathan Howard, Alex Howard, Brack Allen, Jr., Caleb Roberts, Cameron Howard, Christopher Bowling and Jamie Bowling serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brack "Eddie" Allen, Jason Howard and Charles Morgan.

Family & friends may gather for visitation from 12 noon until the service hour at 2p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
