Bardie Whitehead

Bardie Whitehead, age 84 of Big Laurel, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center. Bardie was born in Leslie County, Kentucky, to the union of the late John Whitehead and the late Amy C. Turner Whitehead. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ. Bardie enjoyed working with flowers, going to church, watching the "Andy Griffith Show" and raising ducks. She had been a resident of Big Laurel for the past 10 years, moving from Beech Fork. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by: brother: Ralph Whitehead and Carson Whitehead; two sisters: Lucy Mosley and Margaret Bray.

Bardie leaves surviving, two brothers: Taylor Whitehead (Judy) of Lexington, Ky, and Adron Whitehead of Bracken County, Ky; one sister: Fannie Roberts (Wilmer) of Big Laurel, Ky; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
