Bernadine Morgan

Bernadine (Smith) Morgan, 83, of London, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.

Born on September 19, 1942 in Leslie County, Kentucky, Bernadine was the daughter of the late Pearl and Susie (Hacker) Smith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around her family and her faith.

Bernadine worked faithfully for many years as an Office Manager, where she was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and warm, welcoming personality. She took pride in her work and in the relationships she built throughout her career. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

A woman of strong faith, Bernadine was a devoted member of Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church. Her church family meant so much to her, and she lived her life as an example of kindness, compassion, and steadfast belief.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Morgan; her son, Harold Morgan; her brothers, Kenneth Smith, Orville Smith, Vernon Smith, Bobby Smith, and Don Smith; and her sister, Norma King.

Bernadine leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her daughter, Charlotte Cornett and husband Doug of London, KY; her son, Tony Morgan and wife Diana of London, Kentucky; her sister, Rose Morgan of Essie, Kentucky; as well as a host of grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church, 420 Grassy Branch Road, Essie, KY 40827.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church with Patrick Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Albert Morgan Cemetery in Essie, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Jeannie Gayhart, Brandon Morgan, Jarrett Gayhart, Tyler Morgan, Doug Cornett, Chase Cornett, Cheyene Miller, and Phillip Puckett.

Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Lynn Morgan.
