Betsy Barrett

Betsy Barrett, age 73 of London, KY, departed this walk of life on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, KY. Betsy was born April 15, 1941 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Ruben and Mary Whitehead Collett. She had been a life long resident of Essie, KY with the exception of having lived in London, KY for the past 18 months. Betsy was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, and most importantly, spending time with her grandson, Joe. Other than her parents, Betsy is preceded in death by, her husband, Joe Barrett; one brother, Walter Collett; four sisters: Eunice Collett, Sallie Brown, Ruth Bostic, and Opha Smith.

Betsy is survived by one son, Ralph Barrett (Veronica) of London, KY; one brother: Charles Collett (Gladys) of Stinnett, KY; one sister: Martha Lepino (Jim) of Indianapolis, IN; one grandson: Joseph Henry William Barrett; special friends, Brenda Hubbard and Ann Smith & Family.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 01, 2015 at the Bowen's Creek Cemetery at Essie, KY. Burial will follow the services.
