Birtha Kilburn

Birtha Kilburn, age 89 of Wooton, Kentucky passed away Saturday at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center. Birtha was born July 16, 1924 in Perry County, KY to the union of the late Nat and Sina Cody Kilburn. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, canning, working in her flowers, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of the Wooton Church of Christ. Birtha was preceded in death by her parents: Nat and Sina Cody Kilburn, her late husband: George Kilburn, daughter Amma Jean Baker, one grandson: George Daniel Kilburn, one granddaughter: Tabitha K. Boyd, sisters: Merda Kilburn, Pearlie Kilburn, Ollie Kilburn, Sallie Kilburn Cody, and one brother: Henry Kilburn. Survivors include: two sons: Henry Lee Kilburn and Tug James Kilburn both of Wooton, Ky.; grandchildren: Kristine & Randy Sampsell of Wooton, Ky., Sabrina & Patrick Maggard of London, Ky., Lonnie Baker of Wooton, Ky., Brenda Yontz of Seymour, Indiana; great grandchildren: Justin Sizemore, Brandon Dixion, Austin Lawson, Andrew Maggard, Shayleigh Maggard, Dalton Maggard, Hunner Maggard, Kutter Maggard and one great-great grandchild: Whisper Feltner; A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday in the chapel of the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home with Ronnie Melton, Russell Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Cemetery at Wooton, Ky.. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel.
