Brenda Kay Shenabarger

Brenda Kay Madden Shenabarger of Hyden, Kentucky was born October 22, 1960 in London, Kentucky to the late Wilmer and Edith Joseph Madden.

Brenda served honorably for 15 years in the United States National Guard.  She had a love for her country and respected the freedoms we hold dear.  By occupation, Brenda worked as a nurse in the veteran's hospital.  With Brenda's great love for music, she worked as a disc jockey for a number of years.

Although Brenda was raised in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, she resided in many places throughout her life, including Hawaii.  She had a zest for life and appreciated the beautiful landscapes throughout the country.

Brenda passed from this life on Sunday, February 25, 2024.  Brenda was 63 years old.  

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by one daughter Melissa Burke and a one beloved grandson Jonathan Kingsolver.

Brenda leaves behind one daughter Veronica Stidham of Hazard, KY, three brothers Doug Madden (Betty) of Yeaddiss, KY, John Madden and Stanley Madden, both of Peru, IN.  Five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive her passing.

There will be a private service held by the family at a later date.
