Burnette Net"" Rice

Burnette "Net" Rice, born January 20, 1949 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Willis Collins and the late Mary Couch Collins. She departed this life on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her residence. She was 63 years, 06 months and 22 days of age. She was residing at 214 New Berry Loop, Saul, KY at the time of her passing. She was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Virgil Rice on June 13, 1966 in Saul, KY. Net was of the Holiness faith and was a member of the Panco Community Church at Oneida, KY. She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and going to yard sales. Most importantly, she enjoyed going to church. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and wife.Burnette is preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Frank Ivy and her grandmother: Martha Jane Collins.Mrs. Burnette Rice leaves the following relatives surviving: Her loving and devoted husband: Virgil Rice of Saul, KY; 1 - son: Virgil Glenn Rice and wife, Sarah Gail of Essie, KY; 2 - daughters: Patricia Pennington and husband, Pearl of Yeaddiss, KY and Rhonda Barger and husband, Ronald, Jr. of Oneida, KY; 2 - brothers: Clyde Collins and wife, Ruth of Bear branch, KY and Bruce Collins and wife, Betty of Red Bird, KY; Six beloved grandchildren: George Ray Collins, Henry J. Woods, Cody Glenn Fields, Cassundra Rochelle Rice, Benjamin Fredrick Glenn Rice and Regina Louise Barger; A host of other family and friends also survive.Funeral services for Burnette "Net" Rice will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. - Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from the Panco Community Church at Oneida, KY with Jerry Rice and Tom Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Granville Rice Cemetery at Saul. The family of Mrs. Rice will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M. - Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Panco Community Church at Oneida, KY.
