Cinda Shepherd

Mrs. Cinda Shepherd, age 55 of Mozelle, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Hyden Health & Rehab following a lengthy illness. She was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed riding around and looking at nature, shopping and doing things with her grandchildren. Cinda loved taking care of other people, visiting community stores, and spending time with her sister. She really enjoyed her great nephew Kelton Mike Nolan, and great niece Delana Paige Nolan. Cinda was the daughter of the late Frank and Betty Simpson born in Leslie County, Kentucky. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves surviving her loving and devoted husband Curtis Shepherd of 27 years. One son Frankie Simpson and fiance' Tammy Caldwell of Helton, Kentucky; one sister Vesta Lou Nolan and Earl of Salem, Indiana; brothers Carlos (Boone) Simpson and Sharon Sue of Asher, Kentucky, John Wayne Simpson and Charlotte of London, Kentucky. Three grandchildren, Morgan Betty Lynn Simpson, Kyleigh Joyce Ann Simpson, Jared Wayne Simpson, and one step granddaughter Leandra Smallwood. Also mother of grandchildren Tanya Asher whom she loved, and step-mother : Aseneth Simpson. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Hyden Health & Rehab for their kindness and their genuine concern. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Community Church with Teddy Collett, Bud Brock, Teddy Brock, Rodney Watts and Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Rye Cove Cemetery, at War Branch, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the church after 5:00 P.M. Saturday. Pallbearers will be Robert Lewis, Kelton Mike Nolan, Jared Wayne Simpson, Morgan Betty Lynn Simpson, Arizona Collett, and Johnny Earl Nolan. The family entrusted Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home to be in charge of the arrangements.
