Clarence "Little Red" Coots Jr

Mr. Clarence "Little Red" Coots, Jr., age 59 of Smilax, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 05, 2015 at the Hazard A.R.H Hospital. He was born December 05, 1955 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of Mable Miniard Coots and the late Clarence "Red" Coots. Clarence was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a retired coal miner. Clarence was affiliated with the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hazard, Kentucky. Clarence enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, hunting, fishing and working. Clarence loved the Lord and was baptized at the Gospel Light Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence "Red" Coots.

Survivors include, his loving mother, Mable Miniard Coots of Smilax, KY; two beloved sons: Clarence Wayne Coots (Billie) of Yeaddiss, KY, and Brian Coots (Bridget) of Yeaddiss, KY; seven cherished grandchildren: Brianna Coots, Brooklynn Coots, Kenzie Couch, Kaitlyn Coots, Collyn Williams, Dakota Williams, and Zachary Dixzon; one brother: Ronald Scott Coots of Stinnett, KY; three sisters: Octivia Johnson (Everette) of Smilax, KY, Alma Jean Cornett (Lowell) of Cumberland, KY, and Patricia Estep of London, KY; very special niece and nephew: Tammy Shepherd and Kenny, and Timmy Ray Coots; his biggest prayer warrior: Missy Day; very special uncle: Lucian Coots; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 08, 2015 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Levi Coots Cemetery at Smilax, KY. The Coots family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at the church.
