Dakota Downey

Dakota S. Downey, age 21, of Hereford Court, Cincinnati, OH, passed away Sunday, October 05, 2014 in Cincinnati. Dakota was born, May 01, 1993 in Cincinnati, OH to the union of Damon Downey and Dalannia M. Barger Bennett. Dakota had been a life long resident of Cincinnati, with the exception of living in Saul, Ky in his formative years. Dakota had just graduated from the school of cosmetology, he looked forward to a career as a hair stylist. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Sam Barger, Jr..

Dakota is survived by his father & step-mother: Damon (Trish) Downey of Cincinnati, OH; his mother & step-father: Dalannia Barger (Shane) Bennett of Buckhorn, KY; paternal grandparents: Rick & Mary Wash of Cincinnati, OH; maternal grandparents: Sam & Mary Barger of Buckhorn, KY; George Baker, whom was like a grandfather to Dakota; two brothers: Cody Baker, and Lee Bennett, both of Buckhorn, KY; one sister: Destiny Downey of Buckhorn, KY; step sisters: Joyce and Caitlin Nichols of Cincinnati, OH; A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive his passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. - Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Mount Paron Baptist Church with Randy Woods and Leslie Abner officiating. Burial will follow at the Ira Barger Cemetery at Buckhorn, KY with his brothers and cousins serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends for visitation after 4:00 P.M., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Mount Paron Baptist Church.
