Daniel H. Stone

Daniel Henry Stone, age 75 of Henryville, IN, formally of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at his home in Henryville. He was born on July 08, 1937 in Jordon, IN to the union of the late William and the late Margaret Shaffer Stone. By occupation, he was a tree surgeon until his retirement. Daniel enjoyed feeding and watching birds and squirrels, history and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Barbara Jean Stone; 2 sisters: Aileen Stone and Mary Pickett; 1 brother: Gene Stone; 1 great-grandchild: Zoey Burkhart; Daniel leaves surviving the following relatives: 1 son: Ricky Leddington of TN; 5 step sons: Dean Leddington (Rena) of Hyden, KY and Danny Ray Leddington, Lawrence Lawson (Lisa), Keith Lawson, Austin and Michael Lawson, all of Hyden, KY; 3 daughters: Luanne Lee (Carlos J.) and Vicky Dickerson (Jeff), both of Henryville, IN and Paula Barger (Hemmer) of Hyden, KY; 1 brother: Gary Stone (Judy) of Indianapolis, IN; special friends: Cody Embry, Larry Dixon and Gary Dickerson. 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other family & friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Thursday at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Brandon Dickerson, Mack Lewis and Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Combs Family Cemetery at Hyden, KY . The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. - Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
