Mr. Douglas Adam Feltner, age 44 of 105 Maple Street, Hyden, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Medical Center. He was born February 01, 1967 in Hamilton, OH to the union of Bobby Windon Feltner and Margaret "Midge" Cornett Feltner. He had been a resident of Leslie County since 2001. He was a resident of Whitley County prior to moving to Leslie County. By occupation Douglas was a coal miner, being employed by Black Mountain Resources. He was united in marriage to his loving and devoted wife Angela Collett Feltner on August 23, 2002 . He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and spending time with his family. His dogs were a big part of his life and his love for animals was evident. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: William "Satch" Feltner & Lucinda Campbell Feltner, maternal grandparents: Robert Earl Cornett and Francis Ruth Terry Cornett. Two brothers: Russell David Feltner and Billy Adrian Carrington. Douglas leaves the following relatives surviving: His beloved parents: Bobby Windon & Margaret "Midge" Feltner of Essie, KY. His loving and devoted wife: Angela Collett Feltner of Hyden, KY, two brothers: Richard Windon Feltner of Hamilton, OH and Robert Brian Feltner of Essie, KY, three sisters: Vickie Lynn Howard of Hamilton, OH, Patricia Sue Speicher of Hope Mills, NC and Terre Lynn Williams of Enterprise, AL. Father-in-law & mother-in-law: Edmond Collett & Edith Smith Collett of Asher, KY, sister-in-law: Beth Collett of Asher, KY. Special friends: James Scott Boggs & Vicki and Jay & Glenda Smith. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
