Edward Holland

Edward Holland, born September 23, 1939 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Jim Holland and Sophia Bowling Holland of Bear Branch, KY. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden. He was 71 years of age and was residing at 156 Big Creek Road, Bear Branch, KY at the time of his passing. He was a member of the Couch's Fork Church of God at Bear Branch, KY and by occupation was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed going to church, riding his four wheeler and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his father: Jim Holland. Edward leaves the following surviving: His beloved mother: Sophia Bowling Holland of Bear Branch, KY, his loving and devoted wife: Jean Holland of Bear Branch, KY, two sons: Darrell Holland & Wanda and Eddie Holland & Tonya, both of Manchester, KY. One daughter: Linda Beckner of Bear Branch, KY, two brothers: Denver Holland & Thelma of Middletown, OH and Kenneth Holland & Benette of Goose Rock, KY. Two sisters: Oda Ledford of Middletown, OH and Lena Bishop & Clint of Bear Branch, KY. Six grandchildren: Jason, Rachel, Jacob, Travis, Ryan and Adam. Two great grandchildren: Wes and Makenzie. Special Friend: R.B. (Pujo) Couch and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
