Eleanor Asher

Eleanor Asher age 83 of Hoskinston, Ky, departed this life Tuesday September 16, at the Mary Breckinridge A.R.H. in Hyden, Kentucky. Eleanor was a Restaurant owner, manager and cook. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, cooking spending time with family. Also, she was an active member of the Stinnett Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, Ladies Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her parents: Marcus and Della Collett Morgan; sons: Eddie Asher, Billy Ray Asher, Willis Dean Asher; brothers: Cecil Morgan, and Don Morgan; sisters: Meredith "Chub" Collett, and Gladys Morgan; brother-in-law Freddy Castle, and sister-in-law Della Morgan. She is survived by, one daughter, Theresa Asher Shepherd & Michael of Asher, Ky.; sisters: Carty Duff and Lawrence of Hoskinston, Ky., Lillian Smith of Essie, Ky., and Edith Castle of Bowling Green, Ky.; a daughter-in-law: Deanna Asher; father of her children: Willis Asher; along with five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends that mourn her passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Stinnett Church of Christ with Keith Bowling, Cecil Morgan, and Coy Duff officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery at Stinnett, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 P.M.. The family entrusted Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home to be in charge of the arrangements.
