Ella Jean Couch

Ella Jean McIntosh Couch, 78 of Happy View Ridge, Hazard, KY, departed this walk of life on Wednesday at her residence. Ella was born March 01, 1939 in Leslie County, KY, to the union of the late Steve and Hazel Asher McIntosh. She was a homemaker and was a former Nurse-Aid employed by the Mary Breckinridge Hospital. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Hazard for the past few years. She enjoyed cooking, working with her flowers, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Kermitt Couch; grandson, Josh Couch; husband, John Michael Couch; brothers, Ernest and Elmer McIntosh; sisters, Ermil Lewis, and Elsie McIntosh.

Survivors include, two sons, John Couch of Hyden, Kentucky, and Robert McIntosh of Florida; beloved grandchildren, Carrie Calhoun, Lida Collett, and Jessica Couch; great-grandchildren, Cody, Kayln, John Michael, Hunter Mason, Sophia Grace, Ethan Ed and Emma. One whom she loved as a grandson, Patrick Smith, and special friend, Becky Stacey.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until the service hour. Cremation will follow the services.
