Ellen Nantz

Ellen Nantz was born November 25, 1938 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Arthur and Mae Morgan Hall. She departed this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Hyden Health and Rehab Center at the age of 76. Ellen was a homemaker and had been a life long resident of Leslie County and had resided most of her life on Warbranch, Kentucky. Ellen was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, ginseng hunting, fishing and her pets. She was a member of the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch. Other than her parents, Ellen is preceded in death by one son: Ralph Nantz; brothers: Junior, Alfred, Bill, Henry, and Cecil Hall; one sister: Hattie; half-brother: Lester.

Ellen leaves surviving, three sons: Billy Nantz and Roy Nantz, both of Warbranch, KY and Fred Nantz (Sarah) of Corbin, KY; two daughters: Freda Napier(Ronnie) of Helton, KY, and Faye Nantz of Stinnett, KY; three brothers: Elmer Hall and Stanley Hall, both of Michigan, and Eugene Hall of Lexington, KY; two sisters: Fannie Asher of Beverly, KY, and Margie Hall of IN; five half brothers: Chandler, Herschel, Smitty, Ernest, and Bobby; one half sister: Ileta Gilbert of Barbourville, KY; seven cherished grandchildren: Amy (Phil), Ashley (Chris), Jessica (Roger), Asa, Joshua, Cameron, and Rayland; six great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Jonathon, Abigail, Ella, Christian, and Caroline; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 19, 2015 at the New Hope Community Church with Denver Brock officiating. Burial will follow at the Hall Cemetery at Warbranch, KY. The family will receive friends at the church after 7:00 P.M., Thursday until the funeral hour on Friday.
