Elsie Morgan Simpson

Elsie Morgan Simpson departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. She was 88 - years, 06 - months and 03 - days of age at the time of her passing. Elsie was born in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Sidney and Sally Morgan Sizemore. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church. By occupation, Elsie was a former Cook at the Stinnett School. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Elsie is preceded in death by her parents: Sidney & Sally Morgan Sizemore; 1 - son: Bobby Morgan; 1st Husband and father of her children: Kermit Morgan; 2 - brothers: Cleopas and J.C. Sizemore; her 2nd husband: Joe Simpson. Elsie Morgan Simpson leaves surviving the following relatives: 3 - sons: Cleopas "Bud" Morgan (Christine) of Sparta, KY, Kerry L. "Jack" Morgan (Mable) and Roy Morgan (Charlene), both of Essie, KY; 3 - daughters: Elaine Howard (Steve) of Stinnett, KY, Darlene Morgan of London, KY and Ann "Irene" Morgan (Lonnie) of Essie, KY; 2 - sisters: Lola Grace Garrison of London, KY and Eunice Garrison of Essie, KY; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Sunday, September 15, 2013 from the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with James Bowling, Jr. and Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Critt Morgan Cemetery at Essie, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 10:00 P.M. - Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Stinnett Pentecostal Church.
