Ernestine (Colwell) Sizemore

Ernestine Sizemore was born August 19, 1934 in Confluence, Kentucky to the union of the late Herbert and Nora Huff Colwell.

Ernestine was united in marriage to Howard N. Sizemore on November 23, 1955 in Pennington Gap, VA.  She was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of the Hyden Baptist Church, along with her husband, Howard.

Ernestine was kind and loving.  She had a deep and unconditional love for her family, especially her grandchildren.  She adored each one in their own way and devoted her life to being the best grandmother she could be.

Ernestine departed this walk of life on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the age of 88.

In addition to her parents, Ernestine was preceded in death by her loving & devoted husband of 66 years, Howard N. Sizemore, one brother, Clarence Colwell, three sisters, Vina Hamblin, Alafair Hoskins and Clara Downard.  One son in law, George Collins.

Ernestine leaves surviving:  One son, Rick Sizemore (Stephanie) of Richardson, TX, two daughters, Stella Fields (Fred) of London, KY and Sheila Collins of Corbin, KY.  Other survivors include, one sister, Louise Bentley (Marvin) of Manchester, OH, seven cherished grandchildren, Shane Sizemore (Sissy), Kimberly Buchanon (Justin), Ryan Sizemore (Whitney), Jared Fields (Kayla), Nick Fields (Brittany), Tyler Collins (Meghan), and Dylan Sizemore (Nikki); thirteen treasured great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survive.

All services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
