Fern C. Hall

Fern C. Hall, was born May 18, 1937 in Roark, Kentucky to the union of that late Charlie Collett and the late Laura Napier Collett. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center at the age of 76 - years and 9 - months. She was a homemaker and a life long resident of Leslie County. Fern enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading. Fern is preceded in death by her parents: Charlie & Laura Napier Collett; husband: Palmer Hall; Children: Michael Barrett, Della Rose Barrett and Vernon Barrett; 2 - brothers: Wiley D. Collett and Vernon Collett, Sr. 1 - sister: Nell Collett. Fern C. Hall leaves surviving the following relatives: 1 - son: Donnie Wayne Barrett of Roark, KY; 2 - daughters: Deanna Asher of Lexington, KY and Terri Smith (Vic) of Corbin, KY; 4 - brothers: Fred Collett (Pauline) of Roark, KY, Carl Collett (Blanche) of Roark, KY, Earnest Collett of Roark, KY and Bobby Collett (Linda) of Springboro, OH; 5 - sisters: Della Napier (Leonard), Virgie Collett (Elias), Emily Collett (Marcus), Mollie Roark (Johnny) and Donna Collett (Donald), all of Roark, KY; 21 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. A host of other cherished family and friends also survive her passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Lower Jack's Creek United Methodist Church at Roark, KY with Chuck Jack, Carl Brown and Taylor Adams officiating. Fern will be laid to rest in the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the church. Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
