Mr. Fred Nolan , of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his residence. Fred was born May 01, 1936 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late John D. Nolan and the late Phronie Brock Nolan.  By occupation, Fred was a coal miner.  Fred enjoyed gardening as a hobby.  Fred was 81 years old.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Smith Nolan;  one daughter, Freda Shepherd and one infant son, Fred Charles Nolan.

Mr. Fred Nolan leaves surviving the following relatives, two beloved sons, Claude Nolan (Irene) of Manchester, KY, and Marty Nolan (JoAnn) of Manchester, KY;  two beloved daughters, Annie Hacker (Jerry) and Christian Lawson, both of London, KY;  11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild also survives.

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Nolan will be held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with his son, Marty Nolan officiating.  Interment will follow the services at the Brock Cemetery at Warbranch, KY.  Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 A.M., until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
