George Rhymer

Mr. George Rhymer, age 68, of Asher, Kentucky, passed away, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. George was born, May 23, 1946 to the union of the late Jim and Gelannie Miracle Rhymer. By occupation, George was a factory worker. He enjoyed collecting knives, guns, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by: sisters: Dorothy Brock, Pauline Jackson, Irene Jackson, and Loretta Cornett; brothers: Waymon, Hobart, Burchell, and Ernest Rhymer, Hubert, Edward, and Eugene Jackson. George is survived by: his loving wife, Haley Brock Rhymer of Asher, Ky; step-sons: Tim North of Mozelle, Ky, Theo (Crystal) Collett of Asher, Ky, and Omus Collett of Mozelle, Ky and Lynn Brock; step-daughters: Haley Jean Wilson of Asher, Ky., Teresa Henson of London, Ky, Lynn Brock of Stinnett, Ky, Janice Lawson of Asher, Ky, Dorothy (Rice) Caldwell of Mozelle, Ky, Freda (Terry) Napier of Thousandsticks, Ky, Sandra Kay Brock of Asher, Ky, Felecia North of London, Ky, and Samantha Perry of Mozelle, Ky. two brothers: James Robert Rhymer of Harlan, Ky, and Earl (June) Rhymer of Tn; half-brother: Ottis Jackson, Jr. of Corbin, Ky; sister: Ettalena Rhymer of Tn; special nephew: Carlos Brock of Wooton, Ky; special grandchildren: Melissa Pennington, Cameron Lawson, Olivia La' Shea Harrison; Special friends Raymond Bowling, Doyle (Troy Bowling and a host of other family and friends also survive his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. - Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Denver Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Dots Cemetery at Wooton, Ky. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the funeral home chapel.
