Hallie Dixon

Hallie Dixon, age 92 of Wooton, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Mary Breckinridge A. R. H.. Hallie was born November 10, 1921 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Clem and Margaret Jones. She was a homemaker and in her formative years, she taught school for a short time. She enjoyed gardening, working in the flower garden, and her dolls. Hallie was affiliated with the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband: Chester Dixon; four brothers: Richmond, Kelly, George, and Luke Jones. one sister: Callie Eglen. Hallie is survived by: two sisters: Cleo Calhoun, and Frances Midden, both of Cynthiana, Ky; special friends and caretakers: Mickey Ray and Carolyn Howard, and their family: Tammy (Russell) Melton, their children: Seth, Clay, and Karaline, Danielle (L.J.) Turner, and Heather (Jamie) Gay, and their daughter: Sam. special friends: Yvonne Jones, and Rosetta Pennington; A host of cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. - Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Rev. Roger D. Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Creech - Dixon Cemetery at Wooton, Ky. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home in Hyden.
