Hurlen Coots, Jr.

Hurlen Coots, Jr., of Yeaddiss, Kentucky was born August 1, 1958 to the union of Hurlen Coots and Cora Bailey Coots. Hurlen was a retired construction worker and backhoe operator. He was united in marriage to Maggie Coots on May 6, 1978. Hurlen enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting, hunting, fishing and collecting guns.

In addition to his parents, Hurlen was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Rex Coots and Mark Coots, three sisters, Polly Marie Bramel, Mackey Childers and Judy Adams.

Hurlen leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Maggie Coots of Yeaddiss, Kentucky; one son Doug Coots and wife Amber, one daughter, Candice Day and husband Kevin; two brothers, GT Coots of Yeaddiss, KY and Chucky and Grace Coots; three sisters, Rosalee Kilburn and Don and Joyce Boggs and James of Yeaddiss, KY, and Lorraine Boggs.; 6 grandchildren,  Emma Coots, Madi Coots, Macy Coots, Summer Day, Hudson Day and Parker Day and one on the way. A host of other family and friends survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Hurlen Coots, Jr., will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022 at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at Yeaddiss, Kentucky, with Rev. Don Kilburn and Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurlen Coots Family Cemetary, Yeaddiss, KY. The family of Mr. Hurlen Coots, Jr., will receive friends at the church Monday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

The family has entrusted Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home to carefully handle the arrangements.
