James "JIM" D. Feltner age 84 of 25924 HWY 421 Hyden, KY, passed away Sunday, December 06, 2009 at his residencein Hyden. Born Monday, April 06, 1925 in Perry County KY, He was born to the union of Bill and Fanny Feltner. He was a life long resident of Leslie County. He was the owner and operator of the Feltner Shoe Store in Hyden for 60 Years. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He Served in WWII as Seaman 1st Class. He was united in marriage to his wife Leola Garrison on February 22, 1945. He enjoyed his work and his friends and family that came to see him in the store. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He lived for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Parents; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law: Maynard and Martha Garrison. Two Brothers: Ed and Paul Feltner; Two Half Brothers: Herbert and Logan Shell. Special Family Friend: Grace Baker. James "JIM" D. Two Great Grandchildren: Emma Wilson of Lexington, KY and Kadence Morgan of Richmond, KY One Brother: Bill Feltner of TX; One sister: Bernice Henson; Three Half sisters: Penny Ferguson, Mary Murphy and Fern McPherson. Very Special Family Friends: Will Baker, Lisa and Denver Dean Sizemore, Dean Sizemore. Special Nephews: Wayne Garrison and Lois; Shawn Garrison; Niece: Kelsy Garrison.
