James C. Hensley

James C. Hensley, 70, was born on February 23, 1956, in Hyden, Ky, to the union of the late Edgar and Lucy Hensley. James departed this walk of life on April 13, 2026, in Hazard, KY.

James worked as a contractor before his retirement. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, yard work, gardening, fishing, and tinkering. James also enjoyed playing poker and was known for always being on the go.

James is survived by one daughter, Tammie House; one brother, Eddie Hensley of GA; two sisters, Penny Shepherd of Hazard, KY, and Jean Rogers of GA; one brother-in-law, Chrisley Sale; one granddaughter, Ashley Sharp of Conyers, GA and husband Matthew Sharp; Nephew, Joshua Sale. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his wife Wanda Bray Hensley; one brother, Howard Hensley; two sisters, Lisa Hensley and Gaylene Sale.

There will be no formal services for James C. Hensley.

Arrangements will be handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
