James Ray Hoskins, 67, of Hyden, KY departed this life at his residence on Saturday, November 26, 2022. James was born January 23, 1955 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Monroe and Mossie Bowling Hoskins.
James had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and enjoyed woodwork, making knives and crafts.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by one sister, June Wilder.
James Ray leaves surviving his beloved children; one son, James Hoskins (Danielle) of Stinnett, KY, two daughters Melissa Bowling (Jason) of Manchester, KY and Maryann Hoskins of Stinnett, KY. One step-son, Richard Henson of Hyden, KY, one brother, Sam Hoskins of Indianapolis, IN, four sisters, Mary Ruth Reynolds of Plainfield, IN, Carol Robinson of Greenwood, IN, Polly Jean Morgan of Dayton, OH and Ada Vinson of Plainfield, IN. Ten cherished grandchildren, Jason Nathaniel Bowling, Marrissa Bowling, Sally Hoskins, Brook Smith, Cameron Hoskins, Peyton Henson, Aiden Moore, Kaylee Hoskins, Kylan Hoskins and Aubry Hoskins. Three step grandchildren, Haleigh, Hannah and Harley Henson. A host of other family and friends also survive his passing.
A funeral service for Mr. James Ray Hoskins will be held at 1p.m. – Saturday, December 03, 2022 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Kip Wells and Charles Hoskins officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sizemore Cemetery at Flat Creek with Dana Hill, James Hoskins and Richard Henson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 11a.m. until the service hour at 1p.m. on Saturday at the chapel.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
