Jean Holland

Jean Farmer Holland, was born December 28, 1940 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Felix and Minnie Carmack Farmer. She passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Hospital - London at the age of 73 years, 01 month and 28 days. Jean was a resident of Bear Branch, KY and was a homemaker. Jean enjoyed going to church, baking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ed Holland; brothers: EL Farmer and Jr. Farmer; sister: Annie Farmer. Jean Farmer Holland leaves surviving the following relatives: 2 - sons: Darrell Holland (Wanda) and Edward A. Holland (Tonya), both of Manchester, KY; 1 - daughter: Linda Beckner of Bear Branch, KY; 2 - brothers: J.C. Hawk Farmer (Florence) of Clay County, KY and Gilbert Farmer of Florida; 1 - sister: Martha Marcum of LaHarbra, CA; special friend: Joyce Estep; 6 - grandchildren: Jason Holland (Tonya), Rachel Smith (Shane), Jacob Beckner, Travis Beckner (Brandy), Ryan Holland and Adam Holland; 2 - great-grandchildren: Wes Harrod and McKenzie Holland; A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 01, 2014 at the Couch's Fork Church of God with Kevin Napier, Donald Sims and Wayne Bowling officiating. Jean will be laid to rest in the Holland Family Cemetery at Bear Branch, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M., Friday, February 28, 2014 at the church.
