Jessie H. Morgan Johnson, age 81 of Stinnett, KY passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital. She was born December 03, 1933 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Carl Morgan and the late Fannie Smith Morgan. She was a life long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in California for 29 years until her retirement. By occupation, Jessie was a Nurse Aid in California. She was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed going to church, four-wheeling and caring for her animals. Other than her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by the father of her children: Arnold Farmer; brother: Riley Pace; sisters: Rose Hoskins, Bruce Smith, Mossie Hoskins and Joyce Morgan. Jessie Johnson leaves surviving, step-mother: Mabeline Morgan Madden of Stinnett, KY; one son: Dale Farmer of California; one daughter: Angie Farmer of Yreka, CA; five brothers: Carl Morgan, Jr. (Elaine) of Stinnett, KY, Bobby Morgan (Hazel) of Stinnett, KY, Danny Morgan (Kim) of Oden, KY, Estill Morgan (Jackie) of Red Bird, KY and Gene Morgan (Elsie) of Stinnett, KY; one sister: Janice Tompson (Bob) of Kansas; special friends: Eva Stephens of Stinnett, KY and Alma Jean Napier of Essie, KY. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with James Bowling, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Carl Morgan Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
