John C. Morgan

John C. Morgan of London, Kentucky, formally of Essie, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky at the age of 69 years. John was born August 09, 1943 in Perry County, Kentucky to the union of the late Bill and Mallie Griffitts Morgan. John was united in marriage to Fern Bowling on June 21, 1962 in Virginia. He was a life long resident of Leslie County, KY with the exception of living in London, Kentucky for the past 3 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church. John enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents: Bill & Mallie Griffitts Morgan; 2 - brothers: Joe B. Morgan and Jimmy Morgan. Mr. John C. Morgan leaves surviving the following relatives: His loving and devoted wife: Fern Morgan of London, Ky.; 2 - sons: Clifton Wayne Morgan of London, Ky. and Anthony Bill Morgan of Essie, Ky.; 1 - daughter: Reva Gail Morgan of Essie, Ky.; 4 - brothers: Bobby R. Morgan (Polly) of Dayton, Oh., Paul Morgan (Loretta) of London, Ky., Lonnie Morgan (Irene) of Stinnett, Ky., and Odus Morgan (Linda) of Nancy, Ky; 2 - sisters: Hallie Hall (Ronald) of Mozelle, Ky and Naomi Lawson (Bill) of Sparta, Ky; 3 - grandchildren: Michael Dodson, Scott Dodson and Steven Morgan; 1 - great-grandchild: Aiyana Morgan; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive his passing. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with James Bowling, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Glady Branch Cemetery at Stinnett, Ky. The Morgan family will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M. - Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church.
