Obituary

Joyce Morgan Roberts, born November 27, 1947, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Tina, in the early morning hours of October 3, 2026.

Joyce was an accomplished hairstylist whose career gave her the opportunity to touch the lives of countless people over the years. To many of her clients, she became much more than the person who styled their hair. She was a familiar face, a listening ear, a source of conversation and laughter, and, for many, a trusted friend. Joyce was loved by her clients and took great pride not only in her work, but also in the relationships she built along the way.

Above everything else, Joyce loved her family fiercely. She went out of her way to make sure the people she loved had what they needed and every opportunity possible to succeed in life. She was always supportive, always willing to help, and never left anyone wondering what she thought. Joyce spoke her mind, stood firmly behind the people she loved, and faced life with strength and determination.

Her family was her greatest source of pride. The love and support she gave to her children continued through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her influence can be seen in the generations that follow her and in the family she worked so hard to encourage and support.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Roberts; her parents, Omus Morgan and Beulah Jane Dailey Morgan; and her brother, Charles Collins.

She is survived by her son, Bill Adams and his wife, Sandy; and her daughter, Tina Stewart and her husband, Dave.

She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Kassy Adams Blethen and her husband, Matt; Hayley Adams Rogers and her husband, Alec; Nicholas Lykins and his wife, Tawney; and Timothy Lykins and his wife, Sebrina.

Joyce leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Ayden Blethen, Mason Rogers, Avery Rogers, Coleson Lykins, Nathanael Lykins, and Josiah Lykins. Her family is also awaiting the arrival of another great-grandchild, expected October 8, 2026, to Hayley and Alec.

Joyce is also survived by her sister, Reba Bowling and her husband, Mickey; her brothers, Wayne Morgan and his wife, Tommie, and Willie Morgan and his wife, Rozella.

Joyce will be remembered for her strength, independence, honesty, and unmistakable personality. She loved deeply, supported generously, and spoke plainly. When someone she loved needed her, Joyce found a way to be there.

Most of all, she will be remembered as a woman who loved her family fiercely. She celebrated their successes, supported them through difficult times, and worked throughout her life to give them opportunities to succeed.

Her voice, her determination, her support, and her unmistakable way of being Joyce will be deeply missed. Yet the family she loved so much—and the generations that continue after her—will carry forward the strength, love, and devotion she gave them throughout her life.

The funeral service to commemorate Joyce's life will be held at 1pm. - Wednesday, October 7th, 2026 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Micky Bowling & Lee Shepherd officiating.

Interment will follow in the Morgan Cemetery (Short Creek) - Hyden, KY with Nicholas Lykins, Timothy Lykins, Ayden Blethen, Matt Blethen, Garrett Morgan, and Alec Rogers serving as pallbearers.

Friends and family may gather for visitation from 11a.m. until the service hour at 1p.m. on Wednesday at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
