Funeral: 1PM – Wednesday, January 09, 2018 at East London Holiness Church with Jerry Holland, Jerry McKinley Holland, Teddy Couch, Randy Woods, and Rod Shackleford.

Interment: East London Memorial Gardens – London, Kentucky

Visitation: 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. – Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

J unior Gibson was born February 07, 1939 in Sizerock, Kentucky to the union of the late Pearl and Emily Osborne Gibson.  Junior departed this walk of life Saturday, January 05, 2019.  Junior was 79 years old at the time of his passing.  He was united in marriage to Ida Holland Gibson on May 14, 1960 in Hyden, Kentucky.  Junior had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in London, Kentucky for the past 12 years.  He was of the holiness faith, and was a devoted member of the East London Holiness Church at London, Kentucky.  By occupation, Junior was a retired coal miner.  He enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, cookouts and most importantly spending time with family and family gatherings.  In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Collins.

Junior leaves behind, his loving and devoted wife, Ida Holland Gibson of London, KY;  and to their union, four beloved children, Ronnie Gibson (Debbie) of London, KY, Randall Gibson (Beverly) of Hyden, KY, Rita Farmer (Bobby) of Stinnett, KY, and Patrick Gibson (Inna) of Seymour, TN;  one sister, Pauline Combs of Manchester, KY;  five cherished grandchildren, Shane, Kyle, Emily, Laura and Connor;  two cherished great-grandchildren, Hawken Case and William Cole.  A host of other family and friends also survive.
