Leonard Clark

Leonard Clark, 73, of Yeaddiss, Kentucky, departed this life at his residence on Friday, August 02, 2024.

Born in Leslie County, Leonard was the son of the late Filmore and Cora Adams Clark.  Leonard was born to a large family of nine sisters and one brother, all of which precede him in death.  

By occupation, Leonard was a retired long-time self-employed logger.  He enjoyed the outdoors, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Leonard was a lover of all animals and enjoyed taking care of them.  When Leonard wasn't enjoying his hobbies outdoors, he also enjoyed vehicle repair.

In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Rose Halcomb Clark, two sons John Hunter and Davis Clark.  Also preceding him in death are his siblings Lee Clark, Thelma Joseph, Mary Melton, Jennie Madden, Pearlie Baker, Alice Joseph, Rebecca Shepherd, Martha Shepherd, Marjorie Clark, and Ella Jane Kennedy.

Leonard leaves surviving two sons Richard Clark (Terri) of Happy Valley, OR and Gordon Hunter (Teresa Crease) of Jackson, KY.  One daughter Vicki McDonough (Matt) of Lawson, CO.  Nine Cherished grandchildren, eleven cherished great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other treasured family and friends also survive.

The funeral service to commemorate the life of Leonard Clark will be held at 12noon  Friday, August 09, 2024 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the services at the Leonard & Rose Clark Cemetery at Yeaddiss, KY with Charlie Couch, Brian Sizemore, RJ Mosley, Greg Shepherd, Billy Shepherd and Gary Baker serving as pallbearers.

Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6p.m. - 9p.m. Thursday evening at the chapel.
