Lillie Mae (Morgan) Bowling

Lillie Mae Bowling was born July 12, 1941, in Leslie County, Ky to the union of the late Taylor and Stella Hoskins Morgan.  Lillie was raised and spent most of her adult life in Leslie County before moving to London, KY.  She was a Nurse Aid employed by Frontier Nursing and worked for a short period of time with Manchester Memorial Hospital.  She worked a total of 40 combined years of dedicated service to the people of Leslie County.  She took honor in her job and did it with a genuine concern and grace.  She was a selfless person and dedicated her life to helping others.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading and crocheting.  Above all, Lillie cherished the time she spent with her son and grandchildren.

Lillie departed this walk of life on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the St. Joseph – London.  Lillie was 80 years old.

In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Bowling, brothers, Wycliff Morgan, Rex Morgan, Nick Morgan, Barnie Morgan, Sid Chappell, sisters, Moreen Simpson, Pearl Blackford and Pauline Morgan.

Lillie Mae leaves behind one beloved son, Gerald Asher of East Bernstadt, Ky, three grandchildren, Patrick Haddix, Abbigail Asher and Braxton Brunner as well as one great-grandchild, Logan Haddix.  Lillie leaves behind a multitude of friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. – Monday, January 24, 2022 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating.

Interment will follow in the Morgan Cemetery at Stinnett, KY.

The Bowling family will receive friends from 11a.m. - 1p.m. – Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
