Lonnie Jones

Lonnie Jones, 67 of Hyden, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center. Lonnie was born in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Arzie Jones and the late Rodella Kilburn. Lonnie had been a resident of Kentucky and Ohio. He enjoyed playing his banjo and collecting coins. Other than his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by wife, Ella Wagers Jones, son, Bryan Keith Jones, son, Tony Alex Jones, brother, Clarence Jones, brother, Carlos Jones, sisters Evelyn Pennington and Alta Feltner.

Survivors include, one son, Danny Jones of Savannah, GA, one daughter, Sharla Davidson (Jeff) of Yeaddiss, KY, one step son, Ronald Lungreen of Independence, KY, one brother, Bert Jones of Corbin, KY, three sisters, Betty Wooton and Kathy Pennington of Wooton, KY and Gerry Johnson of Bloomington, IN. Two grandchildren and a host of other family and friends also survive.

Services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Maggard Cemetery at Cinda, KY with Chris Sale officiating. Burial will follow at the Maggard Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M., Thursday at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
