Lorenzie “Rennie” Lewis of Busy Hollow Road, Wooton, Kentucky was born March 03, 1947 in Wooton, Kentucky to the union of the late Felix Lewis and Alice Wells.  Rennie departed this walk of life on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  Rennie was 71 years old.  He was united in marriage to his loving and devoted wife, Mary on October 07, 1967. Rennie was a long-time business owner and a retired union official of Blue Diamond Coal Company.  He was instrumental in beginning a park in Wooton and was involved with Habitat for Humanity.

In addition to his parents, Rennie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alice and one brother, Roger Lewis.

Lorenzie “Rennie” Lewis leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Mary Sams Lewis of Wooton, KY;  one son, Tony and special daughter-in-law, Viola of Wooton, KY;  one daughter, Janessa Melton and special son-in-law, Arthur “Peanut” of Wooton, KY;  four brothers, J.C. Lewis & wife, Mary of Wooton, KY, Donnie Lewis & wife, Melvie of Wooton, KY, Tim Lewis of Hyden, KY, and Felix Lewis & wife, Phyllis of Wooton, KY;  one sister, Stephanie Shepherd & husband, Rick of Wooton, KY;  four cherished grandchildren, Zachary & wife Denise, Brandon, Casey, and Justin;  one great grandchild to be;  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive his passing.
