Mae Parker

Mae Parker, 95, of Hyden, Kentucky departed this walk of life on Monday, October 19, 2026 at her residence in Hyden, KY.  

Mae was born February 26, 1931 in Cinda, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Allen and Maude Maggard Howard.  Mae lived a long life built on love and dedication to others.  She worked many years as a nurse aid, employed by the Hyden Nursing Home until becoming disabled.  When she wasn't working, she loved to quilt and sew; something that brought her joy and contentment.  Mae was a life-long resident of Leslie County, and was a beloved member of the Solid Rock Bible Church at Cinda, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband - Thomas Patrick Parker; her brothers - Marcus, Edward, Edgar, Edmond, Billy Ray, David Bruce, and Earl Howard; a sister - Helen Howard; two sisters-in-law - Pearlene Howard and Alma Lee Howard.

Left to carry her legacy is her son - Patrick Allen Parker of Hyden, KY; Cherished grandchildren - Lindsay Pennell & her husband, John of Norman, OK, and Ashliea Ladner & her husband, Justin;  Her cherished great grandchildren - Natalie Pennell, Dominick Pennell, Noah Doyle, Laylah Ladner, and Olivia Ladner.  As well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives & friends survive her passing. 

In keeping Mae's wishes, there will be no formal services.  She will be laid to rest in the Maggard Cemetery at Cinda, Kentucky.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
