Mary Collett, born in Busy, Kentucky on April 23, 1946, to the late Albert Gamble and the late Dora Baker Gambill. Mary was a homemaker and had been a resident of Perry and Leslie Counties. She was a loving mother and loving wife.
Mary departed this life on Wednesday, June 05, 2024, at the age of 78. She was residing in Stinnett, Kentucky at the time of her passing.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Earl Collett, and one brother Walter Gamble.
Mary leaves behind one son Jimmy “J.D.” Caudill of Stinnett, KY, one stepson David Collett (Shandra) of Corbin, KY, two brothers Albert Gamble, Jr. (Flo), Billy Gamble (Glenna) of Hazard, KY, two sisters Betty Goins (Eddie) of Vicco, KY, Beverly Weigher (Kyle) of Corbin, KY. Five grandchildren Austin Brewer, Dora Lee Caudill, Phillip Caudill, Hope Caudill and Adam Caudill. A host of other cherished relatives and friends also survive.
The funeral service for Mary Collett will be held at 11a.m. – Monday in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Brian Overbee and Roger Wolfe officiating.
Interment will follow in the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5p.m. – 8p.m. Sunday evening at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
