OBITUARY:

Mary Jane Gipson, a Saul, Kentucky native, departed this walk of life on Wednesday, February 08, 2017 at the Mary Breckinridge A.R.H. Hospital at the age of 73. She was born in Saul, Kentucky on September 05, 1943 to the union of the late Arthur and Maggie Carmack Barger. Mary was united in marriage to Grant Gipson, Jr. in Big Creek, Kentucky on October 27, 1959. Mary enjoyed getting together with family, she cherished the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She was a gardener and enjoyed working with her many flowers. By occupation, Mary was a former Nurse Aid at Mary Breckinridge Hospital and former custodian for Ace Coal Co. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one son, Henry, two daughters, Mary Ann and Maggie Lou, and one sister.

Mary leaves behind her beloved husband, Grant Gipson of Saul, KY, four children, Alfred Grant Gipson (Ann) of Oneida, KY, Donald Gipson of Buckhorn, KY, Darlene Jones (Emmitt) of Oneida, KY and Ella Joyce Couch of London, KY; Other survivors include, six brothers, Justus Barger, of OH, Luther Barger (Debra) of Green Castle, IN, Arley Barger (Jennifer) of Oneida, KY, Milton Barger (Molly Ruth) of Sizerock, KY, Sam Barger (Mary) of Saul, KY, and Arthur Barger, Jr. (Una Mae) of Columbus, IN; three sisters, Chole Couch of Saul, KY, Louise Wright (David) of Austin, IN and Brenda Sue Mize of Columbus, IN; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
