Matthew Caldwell Jr

Matt Caldwell, Jr., age 74 of Warbranch, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born, August 27, 1939 in Warbranch, Kentucky to the union of the late Elza and Hannah Brock Caldwell. By occupation, Matt was a retired factory worker, employed by Exide Battery. Matt spent his formative years in Leslie County before moving to Frankfort, IN, in 1969. He returned to Warbranch in 1998 and continued to reside there until the time of his death. Matt is preceded in death by his parents; 3 - brothers: Henry E. Caldwell, Amon J. Caldwell and Allen J. Caldwell; 3 - sisters: Cynthia Day, Nancy Ellen Day and Carolyn Jane Clarkson; 2 - nephews, 1 - niece and 1 - great niece. Matt Caldwell, Jr. leaves the following relatives surviving: 2 - brothers: Millard Caldwell (Phronia) and Claude Caldwell (Diana) of Warbranch, KY; 2 - sisters: Catherine Bailey of Holly Ridge, NC and Florence Brock (Mike) of Warbranch, KY; A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, KY with Denver Brock and Mitchell Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery at (Rye Cove) Warbranch, KY. The family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. - Monday, January 27, 2014 at the church.
