Melissa Lois (Gray) Hall

Mozelle, Kentucky

Melissa Lois Hall was born February 12, 1969 in Beverly, KY, to the union of Betty Sizemore Gray and the late Jordan Gray.  Melissa was united in Marriage to Robert Hall on October 28, 1988 at Mozelle, Kentucky.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Layton Hill Pentecostal Church.  Melissa was a homemaker and was a former schoolteacher at Red Bird, where she worked with early childhood development.  Melissa was a devout Christian, she loved the Lord and used her talents of singing and playing piano, for Him.  She was a devoted mother and cherished the time spent with her mother, children and grandchildren.  They were her world.

Melissa departed this life peacefully on Friday, February 04, 2022 at her home.  Melissa was 52 years old.

In addition to her father, Melissa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ezekiel & Mae Gray, her maternal grandparents, Felix & Mallie Sizemore, two aunts, Vivian Gray and Ruby Collett and one uncle, Bernard Sizemore.

Melissa leaves behind: Her loving & devoted husband of 33 years, Robert Hall of Mozelle, KY, five daughters, Chasidy Wooten (Brant) of Harlan, KY, Tessa Lewis (Greg) of Harlan, KY, Jasmine Hall of Harlan, KY, Martha Estep (Eric) of Big Creek, KY and Madison Hall of Mozelle, KY.  Other survivors include, two sisters, Melinda May (Leslie) of Manchester, KY and Eller France (Johnny) of Barbourville, KY, three cherished grandchildren, Mallorie, Katie Howard and Caroline.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. – Wednesday, February 09, 2022 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Bobby Dwayne Holland, Eugene “Friday” Roberts and John Whitehead officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mosley Cemetery at Mozelle, Ky with Eric Estep, Chandler May, McKinley Sizemore, Brant Wooten, Devin Pickle, Tracy Gray and Greg Lewis serving as pallbearers.

The Hall family will receive friends at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6p.m. – 9p.m.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the care of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
