Mildred Millie"" Rahn

April 18, 1930 — October 30, 2013

Miss Mildred "Millie" Rahn, age 83 former pastor of Essie Christian Missionary Alliance Church at Essie, KY, well known as the "Chapel Lady" in Leslie County departed this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in Chapel Hill, Tn. She was born April 18, 1930 to the union of the late Theodore and Lillian Rohn of New Jersey. Miss Rahn was originally from Camden, NJ. She graduated from Nyack Missionary College in 1953. She first came to Kentucky after graduation and served the Lord at Indian Creek, KY. She was there for 2 years. Following this, she transferred to Detroit, MI where she worked with the Jewish People. In April, 1953 she came back to Kentucky to serve. This time, she came to Essie, KY. Miss Rahn served as pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church at Essie, KY for 25 years prior to retiring in 1983. She is survived by the church family from Chapel Hill, TN and her former church family at Essie, KY as well as a host of close friends. She is also survived as well by her special friend and associate, Miss Rachel Davison who served with her at the Essie Christian Missionary Alliance Church,at Essie, Kentucky. A memorial service will be held for Miss Mildred "Millie" Rahn on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Essie Christian and Missionary Alliance Church at Essie, KY.
