Miss Rachel T. Davison

February 9, 1935 — October 21, 2014

Miss Rachel Tilitha Davison, age 79 of 3433 Highway 406, Essie, Kentucky, went home to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Rachel was born February 09, 1935, in Warren, Ohio, the youngest of 3 children. She was born to the union of the late Lewis and Lucy Hotchkiss Davison. Miss Davison knew from a very young age that she wanted to serve the Lord in missionary work. She was saved around the age of eleven. Since, she has continually dedicated herself to working for the Lord. Miss Davison was a 1953 graduate of the Warren High School in Warren, OH. She immediately went to work for the Trumbul Lamp Company until 1954. In fall of 1954, she entered St. Paul Bible College (Now Crown College), graduating in 1958 with a B.R.E degree. Miss Davison came to Leslie County, Kentucky on June 14, 1958 to work with Miss Millie Rahn. She started as the Assistant Pastor. She started many Boy's & Girl's Clubs, Young People's Group, conducted Sunday School services, made hospital visits to the sick, and baked bread for the hungry. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and raising a flower garden. Many of her flowers she raised were used for flower baskets for church. She also helped to pastor a former church in Warbranch, Kentucky. Miss Davison would say "I love my Kentucky people". She would go into the schools and have a Bible story or flannel graphic story to tell the children. Miss Davison was affiliated with the Camp Begonia in Jenkins, Kentucky, where she worked as a camp helper for 6 weeks each summer. Miss Davison was dear to many, the impact and influence she had on so many lives will forever be cherished, and never forgotten. Miss Davison is preceded in death by her parents: Lewis and Lucy Hotchkiss.

Miss Davison leaves surviving, two brothers: Chester (Phyllis) Davison of Warren, OH, and Lewis David (Ardella) Davison of St. Paul Park, MN; A host of cherished church family, and many friends also survive her passing.
